ABOUT SCOTT MURPHY
Scott Murphy is from Marin County in the San Francisco Bay Area region of California where he has taught tennis for 25 years. He’s a long standing member of the United States Professional Tennis Association and a 10 year director of the internationally renowned Nike Tahoe Tennis Camp in Lake Tahoe, California. He’s a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley where he was a multi-sport athlete. Scott is a high level senior open player ranked numerous times in both singles and doubles in Northern California. He’s worked with many ranked juniors from all over the world. Scott also serves as an associate editor for the world renowned instructional website Tennisplayer.net. “Tennis is not only fun, it’s also a terrific means of gaining valuable life skills—from learning to focus, setting goals, handling pressure and solving problems. We emphasize teamwork and sportsmanship with a large variety of games, drills and match play that are suited to the varying ability levels at the academy.
